A fun and flirty wedding in East Lansing

Ashleigh and Travis's wedding day was an absolute joy!! Ashleigh has one of those sparkly personalities that just draws people to her. Her smile is infectious, her laugh is large and her hugs are constant. Travis, by contrast, is more quiet and reserved... a kind of observer who just takes everything in. He and Ashleigh compliment and complete each other in every way.

Their beautiful ceremony took place at the stunning People's Church, a breathtaking backdrop nestled securely on Grand River in East Lansing. Anyone who has driven through the area has undoubtedly caught a glimpse of its classic lines, beautiful brickwork and romantic arches. It's unmistakable. And there, Ashleigh and Travis promised each other forever, for better or worse, in front of their nearest and dearest. Tears and smiles littered the sanctuary. It was just perfect.

Following that goodness, we took a short tour around Circle Drive on Michigan State's campus and wandered the gardens. Their reception was planned north of Lansing at Lakeview Banquet Hall in the small town of Laingsburg. It's tucked in snug on the shores of Round Lake, with sweeping breezes and giant swaying willow trees. The lake views from the banquet room are everything you think they'd be... calming and relaxing. Guests enjoyed the dancefloor and conversation, including a fun DIY photobooth of sorts. Ashleigh injected much of her personality into the celebration and the night ended with a sweet fireworks show over the water.
