Melanie + Hussein - a spring celebration at MSU

I have the prettiest wedding for you to cheer up your Monday and forget all about that snow!  Melanie and Hussein chose the Horticulture Gardens at Michigan State University in East Lansing for their ceremony and reception.  I can barely describe how beautiful it was.  The trees at Michigan State are planted there for many reasons- some for their educational purposes, some for memorials, but also for their amazing displays of foliage and blooms.  The trees growing in the gardens are pruned and trained to take total advantage of their extreme beauty, which is especially enjoyed in the springtime.  And wow, are they amazing.  A wedding on the garden grounds in the spring can basically guarantee a gorgeous backdrop of flowers, everywhere you turn.

Melanie and Hussein hired the wonderful Lynn Lucas with W.E.D. for their wedding coordination and as usual, the event was flawless.  She is an incredible wedding planner and her knowledge of event coordination is second to none.  I highly recommend reaching out to her if you need assistance with your wedding details.  Also, Hayley and the staff at the gardens are always so accommodating and helpful, as well.  Melanie and Hussein certainly had a powerhouse team assisting them with their wedding needs!

The ceremony was held in the north garden under the vine-covered pergola- simple and beautiful.  There isn't much needed with so much natural eye candy in bloom!  There, Melanie and Hussein promised each other forever, in front of beloved family and friends.  There were more damp faces and blotted eyes than I could count.  I may or may not have wiped a tear or two on my camera strap... that's what it's there for, right?!  When there's tears on the grooms face, I have zero defense.  I can't help it- occupational hazard, apparently.  :)

Here are a few favorites from their gallery- too many to post here, so I will be adding a second part soon.  Until then, enjoy!
